I will work hard with the paperwork and you will work on what you do best for your game (Programming, 3D model, music, sounds, etc).
From the experience I have with Project Management and Game Development, I could say that planning is one of the best activities you can make to save your time and money.
Start a project and construct it along the time without any line to follow is very risky and can take you for an immense amount of rework and frustration (sometimes quit or move to another project).
I propose the creation of a Concept Document, a small document which shows a brief of your game the experience it is going to deliver to the player, and a GDD (Game Design Document), where you can guide your team or yourself (if you are an indie) towards what is important, get everybody committed with the story, the characters, maps and only focus on the activities to construct the game.
Docs in English, Spanish or Portuguese
You are going to tell me your brief idea and I am going to expand this idea in a successful and complete game story, maps, gameplay and levels. After these documents are completed the work will flow so nice and the team to complete the game will be reduced to half!
